Shaolin Residential Summer Camp UK - August 2013. Are you ready for the challenge?

The Chinese Performing Arts Centre is teaming up with Tang Long and other Kungfu Schools in London to offer a Residential Summer Camp!

Shaolin Residential Summer Camp
Are you up for the challenge?

August 5-11th 2013

Minehead, Somerset

We have had many requests from Students to have a residential camp,
whereby they can really experience what it is like to train in true Shaolin style.
Well now we are pleased to announce that you can do that with us this year in the UK!

And to make it even more special Shifu Heng Wei is going to be joined by Shifu Yang from Shaolin Culture (Bromley) and Shifu Heng Sheng from the Shaolin Tai Chi Centre (Woolwich).
Experience training with not one but three Shaolin Masters who were born, raised and trained in China.

The itinerary is going to be a mixture of stamina training, Tai Chi/Qi Gong/ Forms and Weapons. The premises are in a beautiful countryside setting, with three and a half acres of land, a courtyard garden and a football pitch.

It also has fully kitted out indoor facilities with kick bags, pads, padded floors so you don't have to worry about bringing anything but yourself and a change of clothes.

We will also be quite close to the sea so there is a possibility that we might be able to go and do some training there too (tbc).

The rooms are dorm style with bedrooms catering from two people upwards. All food is provided as are soft drinks, tea, coffee, cake etc.

The training will be hard but the rewards will be incredible.

At the end of the trip you will have gained a lot more knowledge, sharpened your skills and be incredibly fit.

So are you up for the challenge?

You have five months to prepare. You know you can do it.

The cost of this exciting trip is £500 for the week all inclusive or £200 for the Weekend. Numbers are limited so please reserve your space asap.

A non refundable deposit of £50 will be required by the end of this month if you are interested in joining us.

Below are some images from a similar summer camp we ran in Poland a couple of years ago.

On top of the mountain!

It was a lovely day but we could feel water in the air even though it wasn't raining. Then we realised we were so high up the mountain we were training in the clouds!

Three times a day

Are you ready to test yourself? Come and find out if you can handle real Shaolin training for a whole week!

Who are you calling a drip?

The weather so high up was unpredictable and one particular morning the skies opened as the guys were out training. By the time they got back they were soaked to the skin but laughing.

The only way is up!

Every day Shifu Heng Wei had the students running up to the top of this nearby mountain to do Qi Gong. By the time they came back for breakfast they were starving!

Crouching Luke, Hidden Matthew

Training with a field of cows looking on from the opposite field didn't stop the guys from training. Or Shifu touching the electric fence by mistake................

Costs

£500 all inclusive for one week
£200 all inclusive for the weekend
£50 non refundable deposit to be paid in advance.
Minimum age for Children is 12 and they must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost for non training adult £400
Children aged 15 and over do not need to be accompanied.
You will need to travel by yourself so please speak to other students to car share with those that are driving or check out the availability of trains/coaches.
Reservation and deposit must be made by end of April at the very latest.
